The Tahe x Bic Mini Longboard, formerly known as the Mini Nose Rider, is a tried-and-true design that's guaranteed to fast-track the progression of any surfer at or just above the beginner stage. Bic Sports recently joined forces with the industry powerhouse Tahe Outdoors, but the shape and construction of this classic entry-level board – one of our best-sellers year on year – is unchanged.

What you get here is the nose-riding capacity and expressive potential of a longboard, but the rail-to-rail manoeuvrability of an egg. With almost as much volume as an out-and-out longboard, it’s essentially a traditional mal shape squashed into the more manageable and responsive form of something much shorter.

The float, paddle speed and stability – all essential user-friendly attributes – combine with several more performance-oriented characteristics. A wide-nosed, bevelled hull design is tailor-made for hanging a cheeky five or ten, while the “vee” bottom shape facilitates quick transitions between rails and more critical turns on the face. The result is a perfect board for beginners, and a super fun and versatile option to have in your quiver for more experienced surfers, too.

DURA-TEC construction, featuring a traditional PU core and a blow-moulded polyethylene outer shell, has become the benchmark for ding-free performance. Able to shrug off the routine abuse inevitably inflicted in the early stages of beginnerhood, it's nonetheless impressively light and responsive.
