Snowboard Type: The Deep Thinker is an all mountain snowboard.
Rider level: Suitable for intermetiate to advanced riders.
Profile: Camber (Reverse rocker). This is raised inbetween the bindings to give you better edge hold and stabbility when riding fast on flats.
Shape: Directional, which has a 7mm taper in the tail
Pro-Tip on the nose and tail is slightly tapered to reduce swing weight which makes it easier to maneuver around.
Flexibility: Medium to aggressive board, rated 5 - 8.
Base: Sintered WFO. This is a high density base, which has wax infused deep into it.
Core: FSC certified Super Fly 700G, which is light weight but strong.
Dualzone EGD is a perpendicular wood grain at the toe and heel edge. This adds strength and control to your board.
Squeezebox, which is varied thickness in the core. Thinner sections give you more flex and transfers energy to the tip and tail of the board. This makes the board more snappy and easier to manipulate
Fiberglass: 45° fiberglass gives you a more agggressive ride. Plus carbon strands add life to the board whilst keeping weight down.
Edges: Frostbite edges extend beneath your bindings giving you superb edge to edge hold on hardpack and icy conditions.
Mounting: Channel mountain system which is quick and easly. This System gives you more flexibility when choosing your stance.
Compatible with most bindings on the current market, but not old 4X4 plate specific bindings.

The Deep Thinker is a true directional snowboard which is built for riding all over the mountain. The Deep Thinker is best suited to intermediate riders as it has a medium to aggressive flex rating, the stiffer the board the harder is it to initiate your turns. The directional shape is made with a 7mm taper in the tail and the bindings are set back slightly to give you lots of lift in the nose for riding powder, whilst keeping lots of pop in the tail for general mountain cruising.
The profile used on this board is a classic Camber which is set back slightly to sit in-between your bindings. The Camber profile gives you improved edge to edge control and stability when going straight. At the nose there is a rocker gives it lots of lift for floating over deep powder. The rocker at the front creates a more catch-free ride when making your turns. The camber shape gives you extra speed as the board has increased contrast with the snow, but if you want extra speed, you’re in luck. The Deep Thinker uses a sintered WFO base which is a hardwearing base that is embedded deeply with wax. This base is going to help you glide past skiers on the flats and tackle sticky spring snow.
The Deep Thinker uses a 700G core which is a lightweight wood that remains highly durable. The several strands of wood have various strengths of wood which keep the board feeling poppy but strong. The Deep Thinker has DuelZone EGD which is a wood grain that runs along the heel and toe edge opposite the channels, adding strength. Although the core is strong it’s also flexible thanks to a squeezebox shape. The squeezebox is made up of various thicknesses which adds stiffness where you need it to drive power and thinner sections to increase flexibility. The various thicknesses help to transfer energy to the tip and tail of the board, giving you a snappy feel. The Deep Thinker uses a carbon sheet which increases the responsiveness of your board, whilst keeping the board lightweight. The 45° fiberglass prevents torsional twist and gives you a stiffer board for a more aggressive ride.
Burton have created the frostbite edge to give you maximum grip on compact snow and icy surfaces. The edge jolts out slightly at the bindings to give you extra bite, giving you more confidence on multiple terrains. The Deep Thinker has been broken in using Burtons Infinity Ride process, this is a machine that compresses the board and gives it consistent flexibility from the first run. In a nutshell the Deep thinker is a great all-mountain board that excels in power conditions thanks to its profile. The Camber and rocker combination gives you float in the front and pop in the back. The medium to stiff flex, carbon layer, and base are all put together to create a high-performance board.
